The Fury

It's been a while since I posted a new custom in this blog, I've not been idle, I rushed a competition entry for the Superhero Figurine Forum, which was awful due to rushing, so that one's on a shelf to be re-done at a later date. Plus I did a custom Shadowcat for a forum member in the States.

The Fury I started ages ago, and it's been a real labour of love, and patience, and quite a bit of Milliput.

For those of you unfamiliar with The Fury he was a character created by Mad Jim Jaspers to wipe out every superhero on the planet, on an alternative earth, which it succeeded in doing. Captain Britain appeared on this alternative Earth after his adventures on Otherworld with the Black Knight. The Fury killed Captain Britain, but he was brought back to life by Merlyn & Roma, and sent back to his own reality. The alternative Earth was in the middle of one of Jaspers reality warps and about to collapse when Cap went back to his Earth, The Fury managed to escape and follow Cap back to his own reality, it never gives up, and almost succeeded in killing him again, if not for the intervention of the other Earths Captain, Captain UK, who was in hiding on this Earth. Complicated stuff written by Alan Moore, and drawn by Alan Davis, pure genius, read it you won't be dissapointed.

In hand the figurines look so much better than when the flash makes it look all shiny. Here's a few photo's at verious angles.

I used a carnage figurine as the base, but it's hardly recognisable now.

I have a whole host of figures lined up, some for my own collection, some which I want to do, and will end up for sale on eBay. Next up is my competition entry, mum's the word with that one, then finish off Bird-Man, one of The Ani-Men which i've started, then I have the base figures for Crimson Commando, Hellfire Soldier, and Wallop from ClanDestine. All of which I will post on here.
