John Wraith (Kestrel)

John Wraith was a member of Team X during the Cold War, and later became a test subject for Weapon X. He was the team's extraction expert, using his teleportation powers to get the team out of trouble.

John Wraith was part of Team X along with Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, Mastodon, and Silver Fox. Wraith was a powerful teleporter, capable of getting the team out of sticky situations after their job was finished. He had a penchant for explosives, arming himself with shaped charges. Like the other members of Team X, he was given an artificial age suppressant so he was likely much older than he looked. His time as a secret agent and a member of the Weapon X program has left John somewhat paranoid. His house is a veritable death trap, as is the yard around it - John trusts no one. This is well illustrated by his memorable introductory scene: as an apparently harmless gentleman sitting on a New York subway, he is accosted by several members of a teen gang, who threaten him. He throws something which bounces off of the chest of the gang leader. When the leader asks "What was that?" Wraith replies, deadpan, "That was a copper-jacketed .45 ACP hot-load with a depleted uranium core swimming in mercury. It leaves an exit wound the size of a deep-dish chicken pot pie, and the next one will be considerably faster." He was thereafter undisturbed.

John Wraith first appeared in Fantastic Four #220 in 1980, written by John Byrne.

For this custom I used the Blade figurine, he was wearing sunglasses, plus his arm was in the right place for a weapon to be attached.

Storm (Cartoon)

Ororo Munroe is mutagenically imbued with the potent genetic disposition to and manipulate the energies that preside over the weather, in addition to other atmospheric phenomena. Having lived through a tumultuous life replete with successes and hardships, Storm; the thief, the princess, the once and future leader of mutant kind has eked her rightful place as one of the most influential women in the world. Her mandate is focused upon the safeguarding of her people, and the protection of Earth.

Storm (Ororo Munroe) is a descendant of an ancient royal line of white-haired, blue-eyed sorceresses (possibly mutants), who get their defining features every five generations. Her royal heritage can be traced back since the dawn of humanity and her family's kingdom lies hidden in the Great Rift Valley of Africa, the valley that spawned the human race itself. The power in her family is transferred from mother to daughter. Her mother, Princess N'Dare, rebelled against their tradition as she felt that she was forced to do the role that was given to her. She then married an American photojournalist, David Munroe, and they lived in Manhattan. They moved to Cairo, Egypt when Ororo was still an infant. When Ororo was five, she and her family were caught in an Arab-Israeli conflict. Her parents were killed and Ororo ended up buried under rubble next to her mother's body. Because of this, Ororo has a life long struggle to overcome her severe claustrophobia. Ororo was never sought after by her own people in fear of her safety as her own uncle, Shetani, who felt left out and wanted to rule, threatened that he would kill Ororo should her people even try to find her. Storm, by birth, is the rightful heir to her family's kingdom and to the oldest royal family on the face of the Earth.

Storm was created by the writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum and made her first ever appearance in Giant Size X-Men # 1 in May 1975.

For Storm I used the Phoenix figurine as my base. I like the stance, and it shows a fury when summoning storms, as pictured in various pieces of art, as pictured below.

Paints used...
White parts of costume and Hair - Skull White, Ice Blue, and Glacier Blue (Vallejo).
Yellow parts - Sunburst Yellow, and Golden Yellow.
Face - Vermin Brown, and Bestial Brown.
Other colours used - Evil Sunz Scarlet, and Abaddon Black.

Daredevil (New Black n' Red Costume)

As a child, Matt Murdock was blinded by radioactive waste while trying to save an elderly stranger about to get hit by a truck carrying the dangerous material. In turn, his other senses were heightened to superhuman sharpness and he gained a form of "radar sense". By day he is a successful trial lawyer, but by night, he guards Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil.

This new costume appears after the conclusion of the Marvel Secret Wars event. After the events of Secret Wars we see Matt back in New York with his secret identity intact. We see him Matt working as a lawyer again and working with a new partner, a teenager who goes by Blindspot. We see Daredevil working with Blindspot, trying to help him take down the villains Tenfingers who has been ruining his neighborhood and recruiting people into a cult.'

I had a spare Daredevil figurine lying around, so I decided to add this new black n' red costume to the ones I've already created.

Paints used... Abaddon Black, Evil Sunz Scarlet, Blue Ink, Red Gore, Elf Flesh, and Dwarf Flesh.
